Last February 3rd-6th grade students, parents and staff at Parkside Montessori had the opportunity to take the California Kids Health Survey (CHKS), the California School Parent Survey (CSPS), the California School Staff Survey (CSSS) respectively. These three surveys are part of the California Department of Education’s California School Climate, Health, and Learning Survey
(CalSCHLS) System, whose goal is to examine data related to school environment, learning, health, etc. This data helps guide school improvements as well as Local Control and Accountability Plans related to state educational priorities such student engagement and school climate among others.
